Berdasarkan satu bab, Log Kapten, dari novel klasik Bram Stoker tahun 1897 “Dracula”, ceritanya diatur di atas sekunar Rusia Demeter, yang disewa untuk membawa kargo pribadi – 24 peti kayu tak bertanda – dari Carpathia ke London. Film ini akan merinci peristiwa aneh yang menimpa kru yang ditakdirkan ketika mereka berusaha untuk bertahan hidup dalam perjalanan laut, dikuntit setiap malam oleh kehadiran yang menakutkan di atas kapal.
